More and more foundations and corporations are accepting proposals online, and, in some cases, they restrict their application process to online requests only. Others take letters of inquiry over the Internet while still requiring a hard copy proposal. To put your organization's request in the best possible position, we recommend strict adherence to a funders application guidelines and procedures, so understanding how they want to receive the application is important.
When using Foundation Directory Online, enter the phrase "online application" (with the quotation marks) in the Keyword Search box. Foundation Directory Online is available for free use at any of the Foundation Cenetr's library/learning centers or affiliated locations. Use Find Us to locate one near you. Another way to find out if your prospects have an online application process is by looking at their web sites, or, simply try searching the Internet for the keywords, "online (grant application OR proposal)."
