How many grantmakers have Web sites?
A:
Many people are surprised to learn that approximately only fifteen percent of grantmakers currently have web sites. Currently, out of the more than 108,000 grantmakers in the U.S., the Foundation Center has identified roughly 16,700 grantmakers that have web sites (including private foundations, company-sponsored foundations and corporate giving programs, grantmaking public charities, and community foundations). Approximately 5,800 of these are private foundations.
