This half-day workshop will cover two topics important to new grant seekers: proposal writing and how to approach a foundation. Patricia Pasqual, Director of the Washington, DC Foundation Center office will be the featured speaker.
The Proposal Writing session will cover:
• How the proposal fits into the overall grant seeking process
• What to include in a standard proposal to a foundation
• Tips for making each section of your proposal stronger
• What funders expect to see in your proposal and attachments
The follow-up session, How to Approach a Foundation will address how to:
• Initiate contact with potential funders
• Plan calls and meetings with Foundation staff, including site visits
• Effectively communicate with funders during the grant process
This training will take place at the Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Conference Rooms 9/10, Fairfax, VA 22035. Parking is available.
