Learn to prepare your organization for a major campaign.
Check-in: 5:00 pm
Are you thinking that your nonprofit is not ready to launch a campaign? It probably is more ready than you think! This presentation will let you see how you can build on that readiness. Whether you knew it or not, all your previous fundraising activities have created the building blocks for running a campaign—it’s the goal of any fundraising. A focus on launching a campaign will put your other fundraising activities in context and sharpen your approaches.
By making your organization ready for a campaign, you also contribute to its growth and increase your fundraising effectiveness. With testimonials from executive directors, board members, and development staff just like you, you will learn about the steps one nonprofit took in preparing a campaign, and what it took for another to get a successful campaign under its belt.
Topics covered will include:
- The importance of understanding organizational culture as the essential first step to fundraising success
- How to improve board participation before a campaign begins
- How to determine who is best suited to ask for money
- The role of ongoing assessment in the success of the campaign
