Gain an overview of foundation fundraising for individuals working in the arts.
Following the class, Matt Charboneau, Network Leader, will give an overview of the COSE Arts Network and discuss resources available to those in creative industries.
If you are an individual involved in the creative arts and looking for funding to complete a project, mount an exhibition, put on a performance, or anything else arts-related, Grantseeking Basics for Individuals in the Arts will show you how to:
- Identify funders supporting individual artists
- Explore the option of fiscal sponsorship
- Create a step-by-step plan to find funding for your needs as an individual grantseeker
About the presenter:
Matthew has been active in arts management and promotion in the Cleveland area for the past several years. Prior to coming to COSE, Matthew worked in educational outreach as the Associate Director for Roots of American Music, a nonprofit organization that delivers arts based assembly and residency programs to underserved schools throughout Northeast Ohio. Matthew has been a professional musician for the past fifteen years and has performed regionally, nationally and internationally in jazz, rock, blues, roots music, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music ensembles. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and a Master of Nonprofit Organization from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.
