Learn from experts how to compile and compose a powerful nomination for the most prestigious of our AFP awards, Fundraising Volunteer of the Year and Philanthropist of the Year. Explore techniques and tools to connect the work of your donor/volunteer with a winning nomination packet.

Bentley Marane

Bentley Marane, CFRE, has more than 25 years of experience in fundraising for nonprofit social service agencies and is acknowledged as a community leader whose talents lie in her ability to coordinate support from individuals totaling more than $8 million annually.

Currently, Bentley leads deferred fundraising efforts at United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta with the leadership giving societies including Tocqueville Society, Cole Society, African American Partnership and Women’s Legacy. Previously, she has worked at CHRIS Kids, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Atlanta, AID Atlanta, and Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia.

Bentley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and has taken continuing studies courses in management and fundraising. She resides in Atlanta with her husband of 17 years and is an avid swimmer.

Del Martin

Del Martin, CFRE, has provided results-oriented counsel to hundreds of capital and endowment campaigns, as well as helping clients establish major gifts and annual fund programs. Del is recognized nationally as a pioneer in development audits and has probably conducted more than anyone in the Southeast.

As a Founding Partner of Alexander Haas Martin & Partners, Del served as its chief creative services officer, overseeing the development of campaign strategy plans and campaign materials for all clients as well as the firm's marketing activities. She led a creative team that has earned numerous honors. Del currently works with a select number of nonprofit clients advising on campaign, major gifts, case statement and branding.

A native Georgian, Del is a graduate of the University of Georgia, with an undergraduate degree in graphic communications and graduate work in journalism and advertising.
